The Handmaid's Tale

The iconic TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd was blanketed by an eerie silence on the evening of April 2 as 50 robed handmaids joined the Hulu show's cast on the red carpet for the 6th and final season premiere. As the handmaids filed into the promenade in two perfectly spaced lines, the crowd of onlookers froze to observe. Perhaps the show's messaging that warns of a totalitarian society felt closer for the event's attendees. Either way, this moment was a powerful reminder that experiential events can have a profound influence on the people attending. Little Cinema was our wonderful agency partner and they knocked this one out of the park. 

Canva creates

Canva hosted their annual Canva Creates event at SoFi Stadium. While ShowPro did not provide the technical support for the "main show" inside the YouTube Theatre, we were called on last-minute to provide supplemental AV support for ancillary breakouts for Canva Executives. This was a cool event for us because it coincided with a new partnership between ShowPro + SoFi Stadium events. Thank you to the teams at Public School and SoFi Stadium for trusting the ShowPro team to deliver. 

MINECRAFT

A lesser known fact: ShowPro has a venue partnership with Westfield - Century City and provides two full-time production managers who work alongside the Westfield events team every day. The central production courtyard sees new events + activations every week. The release of the Minecraft movie on April 4th was welcomed with family-friendly activations, activities, and special access to one of the year's biggest films.
